The difficult situation on the labor market can make this year a lot of people decide to start their own business. Some people starting a business can take advantage of the lower, concessional rates of social security contributions, and thus gain more money. It is worth to see who can take advantage of preferential benefits and social security contributions which are related to the limitations.

Entrepreneurs who have started their non-agricultural activities, for a period of 24 calendar months from the commencement of business can pay social security contributions from their declared amount, but not less than 30% of the minimum wage (in 2013 this amount is 480 zł). From the base of a person who shall charge a company pension contributions, pension, accident and sickness insurance (if you accede to this insurance, because health insurance for the person established on a voluntary basis).

Any period of suspension of 24 months did not move until cessation of the right to benefit from the preferential premiums.

The preferential payment of social security contributions can not use if you are:

a) during the last 60 calendar months before the date of commencement of business activities conducted in non-agricultural activities.

This restriction applies to current and former partners of partnerships, limited partnerships or partnerships and single shareholder limited liability companies, as well as authors and artists.

Period 60 months to be calculated from the month preceding the month in which we began conducting business.

b) carry out an economic activity to a former employer, for which prior to starting a business in the current or preceding calendar year been engaged in an employment relationship activities within the scope of its business operations.

The preferential fees not therefore benefit those who in the course of doing business to a former employer's operations previously performed under a contract of employment.
